Molded bra cups are made in a fixed sequence of steps. Each step has its own machine, and the output of the whole line is set by the slowest one. This guide walks through the sequence used in our complete bra cup production solution.
1. Foam and fabric lamination
Foam is laminated with fabric on a PUR laminating machine. The SZT-180PUR is a PUR hot-melt flat-bed laminating machine that bonds fabric, foam and film at up to 52 m/min on an 1800 mm roller face.
2. Fabric spreading
The roll fabric is spread flat before cutting. The SZAF-190 series automatic fabric spreading machine handles knitted and woven fabric in rolls or folded bolts, with speed adjustable from 0 to 80 m/min and spreading widths of 160, 190 and 210 cm.
3. Sheet cutting
The laminated material is cut into sheets. For foam, a CNC foam cutting machine such as the SZQ-ZD2022 cuts PU foam, memory foam, sponge and latex with ±0.5 mm accuracy.
4. Bra cup molding
The cut pieces are molded into cup shape under heat and pressure. Single-station, double-station and fully automatic models are available for different output levels:
- SZD-809: single station
- SZD-810 and SZD-810D: double station
- SZD-818: fully automatic, with automatic feeding, molding and unloading
5. Bra cup cutting
The molded cups are cut to their final shape with a swing arm hydraulic cutting machine, for example the SZY-867 (20T).
What output to expect
In a delivered line in Quanzhou, a double-station machine produced 1,280 pairs of cups in 8 hours, and a fully automatic machine produced 1,440 pairs in 12 hours. Read the full story in Quanzhou Bra Cup Factory Runs 6 Fully Automatic Molding Machines with One Operator.
