The right bra cup molding machine depends on what you make, how much you make, and how many operators you want on the line. Start with these questions.
1. What are you molding?
- Foam cups: the SZD-809 (single station), SZD-810 and SZD-810D (double station) and SZD-818 (fully automatic) mold foam products such as bra cups.
- Fabric cups: the SZD-850 and SZD-850A mold bra fabric, and can also mold the crotch and hip areas of underwear. Mold shapes can be customized.
- Silicone-rubber cups and powder-coated cups: the SZD-810P is a three-station machine for these.
2. How much do you need to produce?
- SZD-809: single station, mold platform 250 × 450 mm.
- SZD-810: double station, three mold plate sizes (420 × 220, 450 × 250 or 550 × 350 mm) and three body lengths (1450, 1600 or 1800 mm).
- SZD-810D: double station, mold platform 250 × 450 mm.
- SZD-818: fully automatic, mold platform 760 × 450 mm, automatic feeding, molding and unloading.
For reference, customers have reported 1,280 pairs in 8 hours from a double-station machine and 1,440 pairs in 12 hours from a fully automatic machine. In that factory, one operator runs 6 automatic machines because the work is only loading and unloading.
3. What about labor and workshop conditions?
Fully automatic machines cut the labor per machine. The same Quanzhou factory also reported a 30% lower workshop temperature, with exhaust sent directly outdoors.
4. What else does the line need?
Molding is one step in a line. Before it come lamination, fabric spreading and cutting; after it, cup cutting. See the bra cup molding process for the full sequence.
